Are Hawaii County Mugshots Public?
No Hawaii statute was found that automatically posts every booking photo online or bars every mugshot from release. HPD report copy fees are $1 for the first page and $0.10 per additional page, cash only. Complete criminal reports are generally not released until a case is closed, adjudicated, or the statute of limitations has passed, with limited victim or insurance-related exceptions. Mugshot Removal and Expungement
Hawaii expungement is handled through the Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center under HRS 831-3.2 for eligible non-conviction arrest information.
